Hours

The Medfield Historical Society Museum and Library, located at 6 Pleasant Street, is open the first and third Saturday of each month from 10 am to noon and by appointment for those who wish to learn more about the town and its history, to browse its collections or to conduct research. Please come by and see us! To make an appointment, contact us. There is no charge for admission, but donations are greatly appreciated.

Accessibility & Parking

The Medfield Historical Society is not handicap accessible. Handicap parking is available behind the society building. Parking may be accessed off Pleasant Street behind the Medfield Library or off South Street in the rear lot behind Brothers’ parking lot. Please refrain from parking in the Bank of America and Brother’s parking lots.

Tours

The Museum is a great place to bring student groups, scouts and out of town visitors. Call or email to arrange a tour.

The Peak House, under the management of the Peak House Heritage Center, offers the opportunity for gallery and garden visits and tours. For current information about visiting, go to the Peak House Heritage Center website.

A number of other history-focused organizations such as the Friends of the Dwight-Derby House and the  Kingsbury Grist Mill Committee also offer both docent-conducted and/or self-guided tours. The MSH Building and Grounds Committee occasionally offers tours of the former Medfield State Hospital grounds.
